1Who We Are

Copa ("the App", "we", "us", "our") is an independent football application built for the Pi ecosystem, developed by Abdallah Elbaggari. Copa is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Pi Core Team, Inc. Copa operates as an independent third-party application within the Pi ecosystem.

Copa is accessible through the Pi Browser at copa-pi.pages.dev and the Pi App Studio at copa.pi.

2Information We Collect
The key principle: Copa currently aims to process only the information necessary to operate the service. Certain preferences and app state may be stored locally on your device. Transaction execution occurs through Pi Network infrastructure.

Copa does not currently collect email addresses, phone numbers, device identifiers, precise location data, or browsing history beyond what is necessary to display football content from third-party providers.

3Pi Network Authentication

Copa currently uses the Pi Network SDK exclusively for user authentication. When you tap "Sign In with Pi", authentication occurs through Pi's official SDK. Copa receives only your Pi username from this process, used solely for display purposes within the app.

Current Implementation: Copa uses Pi.authenticate() with scopes ['username', 'payments']. No alternative authentication methods are currently available.

Pi Network's own privacy practices govern data handled through their SDK. We encourage you to review Pi Network's Privacy Policy.

4Pi Payments and Transactions

All payments within Copa are currently processed through the Pi Network SDK using Pi.createPayment(). Copa currently processes transactions in Pi only, in line with Pi ecosystem practices for Pi-exclusive applications.

Completed Pi transactions may not be reversible depending on Pi Network transaction status and applicable Pi Network policies. Copa does not store payment card details or financial credentials. Copa's server functions communicate with the Pi Platform API (api.minepi.com) solely to approve and complete payments per Pi SDK requirements.
5Third-Party Data Sources

Copa fetches publicly available football content from third-party providers to power its features. Copa acts as a content reader โ€” no user data is submitted to these services by Copa.

Features, schedules, statistics, and external content may change or become unavailable without notice due to changes at third-party providers.

6Content Ownership

Football club names, competition names, player names, images, and associated trademarks belong to their respective owners. Copa provides informational and community experiences and does not claim ownership of any third-party materials displayed within the app.

Pi Network names, logos, and related branding belong to their respective owners. Copa makes no claim of affiliation with or endorsement by Pi Core Team, Inc.

7Infrastructure โ€” Cloudflare

Copa is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard infrastructure logs including IP addresses and request timestamps as part of their network operations. This is governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. Copa does not access or process Cloudflare infrastructure logs.

8Data Retention

Copa currently does not maintain a server-side user database. Certain preferences and app state may be stored locally in your browser's localStorage and remain under your control.

To remove local Copa data: Clear site data for copa-pi.pages.dev in your Pi Browser settings. This removes locally stored preferences and app state.

Transaction records that have been confirmed on the Pi Blockchain are subject to Pi Network's blockchain properties and Pi Core Team's applicable policies.

9Service Availability

Features, content, statistics, and external data within Copa may change or become unavailable at any time without prior notice, including due to changes at third-party data providers, Pi Network infrastructure, or Cloudflare services. Copa aims to provide a reliable experience but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

10Children's Privacy

Copa is not directed at individuals under the age of 13 or the minimum eligible age under applicable local law. Copa inherits Pi Network's eligibility requirements through exclusive Pi SDK authentication. If you believe a child has used Copa in violation of this policy, please contact us.

11Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Copa's features, applicable legal requirements, or Pi ecosystem developer practices. The "Effective" date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made. Continued use of Copa after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
